Who we are
Jottally is made by the developer of Jottally. Write to support@jottally.app about anything in this policy.
What the app keeps, and where
Everything you put into Jottally stays in the app on your iPhone: your business details, logo, signature and stamp; your clients’ names, phone numbers, emails and addresses; your invoices, their lines, notes and payments.
If iCloud is on for your Apple ID, the app keeps a copy in your private iCloud database, so it can appear on your other devices and come back on a new iPhone. That copy belongs to your iCloud account. Apple stores it under its own privacy policy; we have no access to it.
We have no server. Nothing you write in Jottally is sent to us.
Voice entry
When you hold the mic, Jottally uses Apple’s speech recognition to turn what you say into an invoice line. Where your iPhone can do this on the device, it does. Where it can’t, Apple may process the audio on its servers under Apple’s privacy policy. Jottally keeps no recordings and no transcripts beyond the line it fills in.
Subscriptions
Jottally Pro is sold by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles your payment details; we never see them. The app checks with Apple, on your iPhone, whether your subscription is active. Apple may tell us totals (how many people subscribe, in which countries), never who you are.
Reminders, Siri and search
Payment reminders are notifications your iPhone schedules for itself; they don’t pass through us. If you use Siri, Shortcuts or iPhone search with Jottally, the client names and amounts they need stay on your iPhone, and Apple handles your requests under its own privacy policy. With the app lock on, reminders, Siri and search show no names or amounts.
Invoices you send
When you send an invoice, you choose where it goes (Messages, email, a file), and from then on it is with the app or person you sent it to. The PDF carries what you put on it.
Email to support
If you write to us, we receive your email address and what you send, use it only to answer you, and delete it when we no longer need it to help you, within 12 months.
This website
jottally.someone.uz sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Like every website, its host may keep short-lived server logs (such as IP addresses) to keep the site secure.
Your choices
- Delete any client or invoice in the app, or delete the app.
- Remove the iCloud copy: Settings, your name, iCloud, then manage storage and choose Jottally.
- Turn iCloud off for Jottally, and the data stays only on your iPhone.
- Make a backup file whenever you like; it is yours to keep or delete.
Your rights
Wherever you live (including under the GDPR and UK GDPR, the CCPA, Canada’s PIPEDA, Australia’s and New Zealand’s privacy acts), you have rights over personal information held about you. Because we don’t hold your app data, you exercise them directly in the app and in iCloud, as above. For anything we may hold (an email you sent us), write to us and we will answer within 30 days.
Your clients’ information
The details you keep about your clients are yours to manage, on your devices. Keep only what you need to invoice them.
Children
Jottally is a tool for running a business and isn’t meant for children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will post the new version here with a new date. If a change affects what happens to your data, the app will tell you before it applies.
